The Event Photos

The 2025
Building Diversity Awards
About This Project
The Canadian Building Diversity Awards is the premier event celebrating diversity, equity, and inclusion in the construction industry across Canada.
This 5th annual celebration will be graced with breathtaking performances by Canada's top artists and heartfelt presentations from industry leaders.
The theme was to "Embrace the Possibilities," honouring the visionaries and innovators pushing boundaries in the construction industry.
The team was responsible for making an Award Show Event Recap Video and a mixed photo album that included a bit of stage, step & repeat, and general event photos.

Award Show Video Recap
The major delivery of this project was a 1 minute event recap video of the full conference with a same-day edit. This was delivered directly to the team’s email within hours of the event finishing. With event recap videos, speed is the most important factor. Imagine being at an event, having an amazing time, and then going into work the next day and everyone asks “how was it?” and you have an amazing video to show them what the experience looked like.
It was no surprise that this piece of content had the highest amount of engagement on their Linkedin Page in the weeks preceding and the weeks following game day. Enjoy the video and try your best not to get FOMO.
Man on the Street Interviews
For this project, the BDA had selected key influencers to host their event on social media. We created a branded microphone that they could use in the interviews, and recorded as many as we could, given the time constraint.
Sometimes during an event, the organizers would want key individuals to be interviewed on camera, sometimes they like pulling random audience members. It all comes down to preference and the message that you, as the organizer, would like to capture and deliver as part of your marketing strategy.
In this case, they had a handful of industry leaders that they selected to be the spokespeople for their videos. If you're planning on executing a project like this, we suggest a mix of random attendees and VIPs.
By planning your shoot in this way, you can still capture the essence of the event and a partially curated message for your online audience.
